Home Maintenance tip of the day: The bottom of your stucco wall should not be in contact with concrete walkways or soil.  If it is in contact there is an increased likelyhood of moisture intrusion.  Grading should be improved to have at least 4 inches of space between the bottom of the stucco wall and any soil below.  Hardscaping such as concrete walkways should be two inches below the bottom of the stucco wall.  Any questions?  Contact us!

Home Inspector’s tip of the day: Beware of ceiling fans installed with the blades lower than 7 feet from the finished floor.  This is especially dangerous in children’s bedrooms.

Home Inspector’s tip of the day: Horizontal sliding windows that are difficult to operate can be repaired by replacing the rollers on to the bottom side of the window.  Simply push the frame all the way up which allows the window to be removed.
