Home Maintenance tip of the day: The bottom of your stucco wall should not be in contact with concrete walkways or soil.  If it is in contact there is an increased likelyhood of moisture intrusion.  Grading should be improved to have at least 4 inches of space between the bottom of the stucco wall and any soil below.  Hardscaping such as concrete walkways should be two inches below the bottom of the stucco wall.  Any questions?  Contact us!

Home Inspector’s tip of the day: Nearly all the forced air furnaces we inspect have one shortcoming in common - a dirty air filter.  Changing the air filter regularly is the single most important maintenance item.  It is so simple to do and yet it is rarely done.  We recommend cleaning or replacing the air filter at least once every six months, and more frequently if the unit is regularly in use.  This will greatly extend the life of the appliance.
